Nostalgia
Description
Growing up I always seen these different people with custom tennis shoes and always wondered how that process went when creating those designs. Now that I am older I wanted to try out designing a shoe based off of Cartoon Network shows that I watched when I was younger. All I am doing is taking sketches that I had drawn in my sketchbook and freehand painting them onto an Airforce 1 shoe. This whole project is important to me because to be able to take my love for drawing and shoes and combining the two is a dream of mine.
First I just sketched out all of the designs I hoped to be able to put on the shoe.
This is the first design that I put on the shoe at the beginning of hackathon.
I decided to throw my logo on the back of the shoe(right side).
This is the first section of the other side of the shoe and all of this is drawn on using a pen.
This is what the shoe looked like after the rest of the cartoon heads got drawn on to the shoe.
I then added the Cartoon Network symbol on to this side of the shoe so that people who don't know know that's where these characters came from.
This is how the Cartoon Network side looked after all the characters were painted.
I felt the design was a little naked so I added some extra pizzaz to it by painting the sole and toe box black and also added some extra color around the pictures.
This is the last thing I did to the shoe before time was up. Adult Swim side soon?
